Bio:
Well I love music its the soundtrack of my life. The 80's rap/disco classic era represent my childhood, the 90's "New Jack Swing" era represent my teenage yeas and the 21C Alternative/ Soul era reflects my sipping on a mocha latte at starbucks womanhood.. A funny thing lately I have taking a connection to 70's soul man the soundtracks of Supafly by Legendary Curtis Mayfield is phenonemenal. If I could have one wish I would have loved to be a woman in this time period minus the racism of course. The reason is because the so-called "blaxploitation era" was time when Pam Grier, Richard Roundtree, Pamela Dobson and Fred Williamson changed the depiction of the black man and woman. They refused to be a 'yesum or yessir' type of demeanor. These actors were pioneers of the powerful voice of the black community. Slick talking, leather jacket wearing, gun toting 'Shaft' to 'Kickin yo Azz-cool as she wanna be 'Coffy'. No more bucket fetching or monkey wretching for "mista".. These soulful seventies broke all boundries with Melvin Van Peebles "Sweetback Saddass Song"! These were the best times in black cinema! The music was so soulful "Across 110th Street" Mr. Bobby Womack did his thing! I can hear "A Sparkle..loving the way that I do.." by Queen Aretha strumming in my eardrums right now! Well anyway you can see I'm a musical historian and a producer of great sounds hit me up for a sweet sound mzshowbiz@gmail
