Cool ! The thing with Billie Holiday - she got treated horribly towards the end. It seems unfair to me, whereas Ella was given the title of "the First Lady of Song"...mayb e that would have been Lady Day if she took better care of herself, but I'm glad we both recognize greatness ! The "Ella Who " thing : the 2 of them were so different. Ella had a sweet, angelic voice - almost perfect. Billie Holiday was the other extreme, but to me more real-someone I could relate to. It's great that they both continue to inspire us all, I don't think either of them knew how great they actually were !
