I’m always turned on by music that combines a good groove with something a little unique – a hip or unpredictable chord progression, a particularly expressive or beautiful melody, a witty lyric, a creative use of instrumentation, etc. I'm generally not into music that is highly distorted or dominated by instrumental pyrotechnics.
