I have been theorizing. I feel like for the past decade since the internet has become a major market moving force, YouTube and Myspace have given everyman a platform and enabled indie music to really blast off -
We have been deluged in musical mediocrity.
I have been reflecting lately on the mid 70's, the last big recession and major fuel crisis. Really good music came out of that time, and generally worsened as times got good.
