I've been on a musical journey which paralleled my personal development. A psuedo-Hippy in the late 60's with a love of classic rock, which morphed into jazz fusion, mainstream jazz, and contemporary jazz streams. My father started me on Big Band Jazz of the 40's and 50's, and many artists from the rock tradition mellowed into jazz themes, and so went I as well. These days I also like to listen to music which can take me far away from the crazy 'here and now', so I can appreciate ambient and new age music, especially if there are environmental or jazz colorings to the music.
