I'm a lifelong music nerd and frustrated DJ, dating from when I was 5 and first started to comprehend and enjoy the classic jazz sides (Miles, Brubeck, Getz) my dad would crank up on Saturday nights. But my world got rocked (didn't everyone's?) in the early '60s, partly because my older sister was a huge Beatles fan. So I got to hear all that and kept my ears wide open during the '60s, '70s (even the disco-y late '70s), '80s, '90s and into the present. I work in print media but my heart belongs to the world of sound. I even have a CD of of late-1800s wax-cylinder recordings. They're very weird. My tastes are fairly catholic, tho I'm not. I'm also into movies, literature, TV, computers, sports and my dog.
