Studied classical piano from age nine and enjoyed singing in church, school glee clubs and choruses, etc. Grew up listening to Motown artists and in my later years really loved smooth jazz. I have a passion for Will Downing and Phil Perry together and separate. I have EVERY CD they have recorded. I find that their voices have such a profound effect on my mood. If I have a bad or sad day, I can listen to them and feel so warm and elevated. Gerald Albright is another of my favorites. I started getting into him when he was the bandleader on Arsenio Hall's show many years ago. I had the good fortune of meeting and getting a photo with Gerald and Will backstage at their New Year's Eve concert in the Fox Theater in Detroit a few years back. That was a thrill, and I will cherish that, and I have to say, they were the most down to earth guys you could ever meet. Some of my other favs are Waymon Tisdale, (RIP), Najee, K'Jon's first CD, and many R&B artists. I also like some Rap, Country and Classical.
