Choice of music depends on mood and place. The older I get the more I'm drawn to mellow, intimate tunes (turn it down, son!). At times I like something heavier, louder, more angry and melodramatic, such as when snowboarding down the slopes. My three major types are

1. Intimate tunes - Kings of Convenience, Jorge Drexler, Sufjan Stevens, Ben Harper, Peter Bjorn and John, The Frames...

2. A bit of electronica - Postal Service, The Flaming Lips, Royksopp, Fischerspooner, LCD Soundsystem

3. The moody ones - The Killers, Of Montreal, Arctic Monkey.

I almost never listen to rap/hip hop unless I'm at a club, Good exercise music.
