I have been listening to a wide variety of music since I got a Stromburg Carlson AM radio in 1953 ( I was 5 then).Also,to my parents dismay, I was pretty much nocturnal. Back then, with clear channel AM signals going much further , I listened to stations from Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Tennessee,Del Rio Texas,& who knows where else. I fell totally in love with jazz, which was actually "popular" then.I continued to follow the music, and learned "the book". I studied piano with a very uptight teacher, so that didn't last.( I play "arranger's  piano" by ear now...) In grade school I took up violin, and kept that up until college.   I married my first musician, which didn't work out, but my second marriage was WONDERFUL. I was happily married to jazz guitar great, Cal Collins for 25 years, until he passed away in 2001. He recorded many sides as leader and sideman with Concord Jazz,and also toured the planet with the Concord Jazz All Stars (including Scott Hamilton, Warren Vache, Dave McKenna,Jake Hanna, Ray Brown, and occasionally Al Cohn, and others.) During this time, he was also on many Rosemary Clooney sides.In addition, he also toured and recorded wiith Benny Goodman. We were based in the Cincinnati area, And soon I found myself working at the Blue Wisp Jazz Club (as a server) for 21 years.It was not only a great gig, it helped me with booking Cal, and contracting sidemen.     I'm pretty impressed with your website, but I have yet to see many Concord sides on it. That's a drag to me, because other than a few really obscure sides on Harry Lim's label, and the Capitol BG recordings, and Cal's last recording "That Was Good", on R&L, there are I think maybe 28 sides as leader or sideman on Concord Jazz. Could you possibly get the Concord library added to your list? There's a whole lotta GOOD STUFF there.
