I'm not a slave to genres though I do tend to enjoy singer/songwriters in the Paul Westerberg/Matthew Ryan vein. But I'm comfortable with rockabilly, jazz, blues, grunge, old school country, classical, pretty much anything but hip-hop. That one doesn't float the boat.
