I pretty much only like metal, but I like a lot of it. To a point, of course. I stop liking it when it becomes too relentless/bad/nonmusical, i.e. Job For A Cowboy, or your stereotypical bad thrash.
That said, I like a lot of fairly extreme metal, bands like Arch Enemy and Children of Bodom as examples.
I don't like moshing. I think it's a little dumb. I don't really care if people are moshing because they like the music, but when people who don't like it start doing it just to be "funny" (which is, ironically, not the reality, at least for me)
Power Metal or whatever you want to call it is really what I like the most though, as standard genres go. I could name bands all day if I wanted to, but I won't, because it's probably a waste of your time, dear reader.
I, of course, won't leave out my second favorite, Symphonic/operatic/whatever, because it is freaking awesome.
The kind of music I really like the most is the kind that blurs genre lines, like Raintime, blurring the line between power metal and melodic death, kind of like metalcore taken to both extremes.
This concludes me talking. Bye.
