Angel Dust
She sat there happier than ever
She finally got to know the love of her life some more
She had finally built up enough courage to ask him a crucial question
Though she knew what would happen, she went against her better judgment
Upon hearing the rejection, she was broken from the inside out starting with her heart
She was distraught, but yet in the same mindset, she wasn’t at all shocked with the reply
She knew she had it coming, yet she expected better
Leaving before she could burst into tears, she ran away
She ran in the pouring rain, crying out in anguish
“Why? How could he? How?”
She ran to a tree, finding shelter from the rain
There, she saw a lone dandelion
It was dry, unlike the other soaked stems
She picked it, feeling five again
Making a wish, the wish, she blew out towards the rain
She shouted out to the seeds,
“God sent me an angel; a lone dandelion and now the angel dust is scattered about, as is my love for him”
