I Love Reggae! From the time I was in middle school(7th grade, back in the eightees, I heard my first Bob Maley and the Wailers song. I soon after began studying Reggae music theory and joined a couple bands.

Reggae has its roots firmly planted in old R&B of the early sixtees. Coming also from Ska and Rock steady from the time in Jamiacan history known as the "Rude Boy' Era. mainly from then Kingston ghettos of Jamaica back in the early 60's.

Peter Tosh is my favorite Reggae Musician. While being just as prophetic as Bob Marley; Peter had a vastly superior knowledge and understanding of music theory and its came through in his music brilliantly. Nobody could skank like Peter did with those guitar rhythms and he was the godfather of the reggae rhythm.
