Melody is dead, but I still like it. I used to know a girl named Melody. She was married and probably 10 years older than me. Now I'm older than she was. I don't know if she's even alive. But I think she had children.

Rhythm is alive and well, at least.

I like how Joe Strummer used to slur. But slurring isn't enough. The music has to be good.

I like girl bands.

I like harmony, especially when girl bands do it.

Well, I like guy bands and girl/guy bands too. Maybe not as much, but I like them.

I like poetry, but I have difficulty paying attention to the words in songs, maybe because most of the music I grew up with featured trite or unintelligible lyrics. Maybe I'm lazy too. Either way, I guess I'm badly trained.
