Bio:
Being queen of the dead is a rough job, but someone's got to do it. Great music ranging from Hildegard von Bingen (13th century composer) to Celtic music (which Pandora really should get more of) to opera metal, with a sprinkling of KoRn thrown in for good measure really helps me get through a day of dealing with dead people. I've tried to find some common thread in what I listen to... so far, no luck, except insofar as none of it is rap and it's all fairly complex.
I want to give a shout out to Skadi, the Viking goddess of winter (you know who you are), Artemis, protectress of the moon, and Isis, my Egyptian counterpart.
(For more biographical info on me, check out www.theoi.com and type me into the search bar.)
(And for those of you fellow Celtic music fans, I would highly recommend checking out Riverdance clips on YouTube. Yes, yes, it's become the ultimate Celtic cliché, but give it a go anyway. Remember, I have legions of the dead at my command who would willingly haunt you for eternity if you don't. :D)
Random thought for the day (5/25/2008): How did the term "goth" change from a Germanic barbarian tribe to it's modern meaning?
