I'm a product of the '70s, and as a teenager, my best friend was the the station director of our local university (Wright State U., in Dayton, Ohio). He exposed me to a lot of music. But he was also an acoustic guitarist, and I've always been a low-key blues singer, so that's the music we gravitated to. I still love the Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffet, Harry Chapin and Kenny Rankin. Can't ever seem to get my fill. I'm not fixated on the '70s and '80s; there are plenty of current artists I enjoy: Nora Jones, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Nickelback, Jack Johnson, etc., but in my ear, I hear the influence of my earlier favorites.

Music has always played a HUGE role in my life. I've always been a singer, but personal issues kept me from pursing a commercial career. I still sing, but in smaller forums where there's not a lot of pressure.

I'm totally enjoying Pandora. I'm tired of my limited CD collection and needed to branch out. This is great!!!
