I'm noticing my musical tastes and standards changing with every passing year. i realized this when one day i'm in a slipknot destroy everything in sight kinda mood, and the next i'm honestly enjoying a gin blossoms song, and didn't feel too much like a pu$$y when i discovered this, anyhoo, my main musical focal points are anything with very well written meaningfull, and relatable lyrics. music that takes you on a journey, whether it be to the deepest darkest recesses of yourself, or into another world of fantasy, or to the furthest reaches of the universe.most of my favorite bands these days most people would never have heard of unless your from the same part of the america as i am, and like underground local bands. as for more mainstream commercial groups i thouroughly enjoy incubus(pun intended for you other fans who might get it), led zepplin, pink floyd. not as much a metal head as i was as a teen/young adult, but i still listen to it when the mood or need arises, cannot stand most rap music or country, but there have been the few surprises from either category. I basically let my instincts help me decide whether or not i like a certain song, or a certain group, if i feel it or not usually helps cast the final vote of yay,or nay.
