The genre of my music is Ambient. While Pandora does not recognize the genre yet, it is recognized by iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, LastFM, Wikipedia...
The godfather of Ambient, Brian Eno, "launched" the genre in 1978 with Ambient 1 - Music for Airports. The station dedicated to his music is a good place to start.
If you like what you hear in these stations, please join me in encouraging Pandora to add the Ambient genre. There are other distinct music genres not yet recognized by Pandora. But I'm rooting for this one.
By my count, I have found over 160 distinct artists featured on Pandora whose music fits the Ambient genre.
I'm sure that I'll find more each day...
