I like many kinds of music. Growing up in the house where I lived, I had to listen to the music that was preferred by my mother and older brother. As a result of that I was forced to listen to and at least try to appreciate music which I may or may not have liked initially. Along with that and the fact that I grew up in the 1960s when music variety was at it's height on both the radio and TV, I ended up being tolerant and then respectful of many musical forms. (Music class at school, which was mandatory in Detroit Public Schools, also helped me along the road to variety)All that to say is that with few exceptions I'm open to most genres of popular music. In fact all the little subset marketing groupings are pretty artificial for the most part to me.
