I try to create special-character stations, often not reflecting any existing genre, but still as focused as possible. Like inventing genres. Admittedly, sometimes the goal or challenge is impossible. When a station appears to mature, I remove the 'x'.

I'm fascinated by trying to find out what makes the difference between two songs that are similar and yet breathe a different feeling; and by trying to find subtle borders in musical gradients.

The stations are roughly aligned in a kind of evolutionary storyboard. That's the numbers. Find clue in some station comments. This can't be done in two dimensions tho - but it's good for orientation, since another goal is to be able quick-mix stations on-the-fly for a special mood. I guess that's what all DJs want :)

I'm doing acoustic instruments, and some digital mixing, but just for fun (if i have time). My most valuable clue was grokking that creating real music somehow is the same as real listening.

I'm out of the Pandora zone most of the time, so I'm less active on this site nowadays. But I will keep adding artists and stations, and reading your comments.
