Well, let's see . . . I grew up in a little place about 15 minutes from these wonderful mountains that will forever be considered "home" to my heart. I love to write, especially journalism, and my heroes are Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein (the two men who, along with Mark Felt A. K. A. "Deep Throat", shut down Nixon's corrupt political scandal, Watergate, in June of 1972). I also have a great appreciation for poetry. My favorite poets are Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson, so it shouldn't be any surprise that my top three favorite musicians, in order, are Sea Wolf (Alex Church), Evanescence (Amy Lee-Hartzler), and Breaking Benjamin (Ben Burnley). I really enjoy the beauty that's found in darkness, as well as exceptional imagery (when said "imagery" doesn't become circuitous, that is). I suppose I'm just naturally looking for the good that comes with the bad, so I'm drawn to people who have experienced pain, but have also risen above it. My musical taste reflects this aspect of myself. The end.
