I love all music, long as it's not country, rap or techno (altho there are limited exceptions within those genres: Martina McBride is awesome, I could listen to Eminem for hours, and altho I don't remember the groups, I continue to hear techno emitting from my kids' CD players that doesn't suck.)
Otherwise I LOVE and have multiple CDs and albums of: Toto (Lukather is a GOD of rocknroll); Maureen McGovern; Dan Fogelberg; Cliff Richard; pretty much everything Phil Collins ever did, Nik Kershaw; Rick Springfield; Work of Art (the Swedes, not the raggae) and The Blue Nile (both swoonable music);
all the one-name bands from the 70s-80s (Boston, Styx, Kansas, Journey; Foreigner, etc.);
90s HAIR BANDS (Bad English, Alias, The Arrows, Harem Scarem [old AND new], Stan Bush, Jimi Jamison, Drive She Said, Jeff Scott Soto, etc. TOO MANY TO NAME!!);
bluuuuues (Storyville being my fave, although Hendrix does not suck when doing blues);
speciality music like Celtic Thunder (**sigh**...seeing them in St. Louis in November,) Cowboy Mouth ("Jenny Said" is killer) and Webb Wilder ("Meet Your New Landlord" kicks butt);
pretty music from Propaganda (Betsy Miller has the most beautiful voice in the world [sorry, Maureen] ), Howard Jones (who wrote for Propaganda), Mac McAnally and Michael Morales ("I Only Wanna Look in Your Eyes");
and anything that has even the remotest element of jazz, including vocal (Jane Monheit and Diana Krall are simply to die for...and did you know that Wayne Brady has an amazing voice?!)
I'm sure there are plenty I left out, like England Dan & John Ford Coley, Todd Rundgren; The Producers; Starship; The Tubes; Bill Champlin; Vanessa Paradis; Jackson Browne; Tessann Chin; Queen; Little River Band; Nine Inch Nails; Tool; Chicago; Jimmy Eat World; New Found Glory; The Cab; The Eagles; Silverchair; Prokofiev's Toccata in D Minor Opus 11 and the soundtracks from Phantom of the Paradise and Chess.
Is that everything? Probably not!
