Sometimes I'd rather drive a little GTO down to the nearest juke joint and swing dance to Chuck Berry's latest record. Discover rock and roll for the first time with all the greatests, swooning over Elvis Presley & Buddy Holly the whole time... Then witness a revolution as the 60s explode into pure magic. bands like The Beatles (my favorite), Beach Boys, Mama's & the Papa's, Simon & Garfunkel. Don't forget the girl groups, funky psychedelic rock, and everything that came from the British Invasion!! Of course I'd tune into 'The Monkees' every week on TV and probably spend all my money on these legendary records for my state-of-the-art record player. I'd then drift into a classy 70's scene of easy-listening, soulful genres with a nice intro to real 80's rock. Bands like Kansas, Billy Joel and Eagles prelude the bold sounds of Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Guns & Roses... I like to immerse myself in the music and I relive an extraordinary life that I've missed. For me, music is the way my heart speaks. I find a real connection with everything from oldies, to rock, to country, to gospel... The only thing I can't really stand is mainstream pop and rap... Other things too, but I believe every genre is uniquely beautiful in itself, and to the ears of those who listen with their hearts.
