I'm 70 years old, still happily married to Maureen after 40years in the trenches, working at it and being successful.
My favorite kind of music is Doo Wop from the 1950's, the decade in which I developed my love for music. Now, I'm no expert on Doo Wop but I know what I like. I can't stand hip-hop or rap. It's not music as far as I'm concerned. It makes about as much sense to me as wearing one's pants waaay below the waistline and walking on the trouser legs, showing one's underwear to public view.
Call me "Geezer" or "Curmudgeon" if you care to, I don't mind and am not offended by either but never, ever call me "Senior Citizen." Hell! I just started living, really living my life. Up until 1996 when I was forced out of my job, I was only a working stiff, a labor Zombie, an industrial slave.
I finally got myself that dog I'd been waiting to get for 35 years. It was worth the wait. She has changed three adult's lives for the greater good and I've become a weak version of a pack leader. Caesar Milan would be ashamed of me, but I don't care.
MUSIC: is a time machine for me. Certain songs take me back fifty years in an instant. Those days were the worse and the best of times. I am thankful for the experiences, all of them. I learned so much.
I've been sharing my writing online for many years. I've had several Journals, Diaries, web-pages and Blogs. Sure! I'm on Face-Book and Windows Live Spaces but I DO NOT Twitter or Tweet. It's stupid and a total waste of time in my opinion. Make of that what you will. I don't care.
