I'm the sweetheart of the 'Quartet - Quintet' era. The Swan Silvertones, the Jackson Southernaires, Troy Ramey and the Soul Searchers, Mighty Clouds, Lee Williams, Soul Stirrers and Willie Neal Johnson Gospel Keynotes to name a few.
I told my beloved mother who recently passed that she had me 20 years too late. Everything I love was done in the 40's and 50's...From the automobiles to fashions I love everything about the era but especially the music!
I find that it isn't limited to gospel quartets but to crooners of every era. when I consider those crooners of yesteryear that have passed on, I study the newcomers such as: Anthony Hamilton, Jaheim, and Sir charles Jones and Omar Cunningham who have now stepped into that circle keeping us appreciative of the true sound of music.
So for the David Ruffins and the Gerald Levert's that are up and coming..you really do have an audience awaiting your arrival. We celebrate you now!
