Music, quite simply, is part of my soul. It is my art form of choice, though I’m sometimes drawn to table dancing. I just get it more than a Baroque. It speaks to me as an old West Texas friend that has been a lifelong companion and mentor. Can’t imagine life’s journey without it. Makes perspective and compassion sometimes attainable. Provides better understanding of God and ex-wives. I have followed this friend down many trails, both familiar and new, to places I found I belonged. For this I am thankful. My tastes are rooted in the rock and blues of my 60’s & 70’s youth. Have always felt a kinship to Texas songwriters both native and adopted. From Jerry Jeff to Robert Earl. Bunch of good ones now. Though I may infrequently visit that confusing genre alternative (isn't it all?), my tastes run pretty mainstream - classic rock, x-country, reggae, folk rock. Pretty big on Delbert McClinton. Have made numerous Sandy Beaches cruises with Delbert and his friends and met some fabulous musicians. I guess for me a blues influence in one form or another is a common thread in my musical tastes, but then again I could be wrong. Ask an ex-wife.
