I like -- Eclectic blends of Easy-Listening instrumentals (Arthur Fiedler's Boston Pops, Mancini, Mantovani, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Jackie Gleason, Puccio Roelens), alternating with pop vocals (Johnny Mathis, Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Laura Fygi, Andy Williams, Vikki Carr). At times I also enjoy soft rock (The Jets, Starship, Air Supply), modern classical (Gershwin, Holst, Grofe), show tunes (Kern, Rodgers, Porter) soundtracks and movie themes, R&B soul (Anita Baker, Temptations), piano (Beegee Adair, Roger Williams). When I want to stay awake, I'll include Sinatra, Nelson Riddle, Liza Minnelli, Duke Ellington, Glenn Campbell, Johnny Cash, Erroll Garner, Michael Buble, Sammy Davis Jr., Blue Sky Steep, various disco artists and any big concert orchestra playing Tchaikovsky. But I have little or no interest in Big Band dance or hot jazz, unless I'm at a live performance. I just don't want loud sounds at night when I'm trying to relax. Weeding out such intrusions on my Pandora stations has been a bit of a challenge, because there's so much of it. But that's okay.
