I have loved classical music all my life, having two parents who loved classical music, my dad who loved Mozart and Beethoven, my mom who loved to play classical piano.
I grew up listening to classical music a lot, taking piano lessons from my mom, but never acquiring her skills.
Over the years I have listened to the three B's, and other composers including Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Bruckner, and also a few 20th century composers like Mahler, Copland, Rachmanioff, and Sibelius, though I like baroque and romantic music the best.
But my 3 great loves are Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Haydn. Vivaldi for his energy and the beauty of his melodies. Beethoven for his power and his melodies. And Haydn, who's symphonies contain great humor, has brought me many hours of enjoyment. He was my late wife's favorite composer.
The joy of classical beauty brings a touch of heaven to this world. If it wasn't for classical music, the world would be a sadder and more cruel place.
