I love all music, but "smooth jazz" is it for me! Growing up my mom always had music playing from Carole King to George Benson. I guess you could say "I get it from my momma".:) As I grew up my music listening interest became known. I attended many shows & concerts and was introduced to many different artist. I realized at a early age that "smooth jazz" is what I loved. I started going to concerts, intimate shows and whatever I heard about. It doesn't hurt to have an uncle that is a sound technician and very well known in the area, he introduced me to Grover Washington, Jr., Pieces of a Dream and so many more, I got in free, sat up close and had a backstage pass. Over the years I introduced my friends and other family members to what I'd learned about music and artist. My ex-husband and I shared the likes of the same genre we introduced each other to artist and styles. He was amazed by how much I knew about "jazz". I've attended almost every "Capitol Jazz Festival" that comes to the DC area on the first weekend of June, I look forward to attending every year. Denise
