I'm very used to people telling me "I've never heard of that band" which just means I haven't done a very good job of explaining these things to others. I enjoy a good amount of stuff that falls under the "rock/pop" umbrella, from sixties pop to progressive rock to New Wave to indie pop to post-rock to God knows what else. It's a lot of music, trust me. If it's vaguely interesting I'll at least give it a listen and as long as the chords don't physically come out of the speakers and attack me I'll probably like it.
By day I spend my time dispensing medications to people who don't know what it's for and either don't want to know or know too much and thus freak out. Off the clock I try to be a writer, or go out to concerts (I get lost easily, so I enjoy the challenge) or otherwise keep myself busy. I'm one of those folks who reads all the labels on the museum exhibits and if that takes us seven hours that's just too darn bad. If that doesn't give you an idea of what you're dealing with, I don't know what else to say.
