Chameleon James Anthony is the base of Urban Camouflage, a network of atmospheric architecture (creative audio experiments and underground projects).
As a dj for over 17 years from upstate N.Y., James spent much of his time in Toronto and New York City before moving to Chicago focusing mostly on House music.He now resides in Portland, Or. feeling out more of the west coast he has spent so much time traveling through.
Over the years James performed at different venues in the U.S. and Canadawith artists such as:

Rabbit in the Moon
During these years James has also played at fashion shows for designers including the esteemed Yoji Yamamoto and Betsey Johnson. He has also provided soundscapes
for multimedia installations in loft galleries and the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art,remixed audio to projected films with the Lazy Fm crew and at Rodan in Chicago and currently building his everchanging studio(s) in and around Portland. Projects also include a publication of his writing in a collection compiled by Write Around Portland's upcoming anthology in Powell's bookstores January 2010.
James was selected to represent Chicago in 2006 as one of the most influential house dj’s since 1996 for UMC,(Underground Music Conservation), and "411", a documentary of 411 weeks 1996-2006 of Chicago underground house music compiled from photos, audio, and video.
James is most at home when playing deep/acid house in an old loft in front of 400 people right before the sun rises and events that include a multi-sensory environment
(as he has been named "Atmospheric Architect").
