Doreen Pinkerton, a native of North Babylon, Long Island NY, has been singing at churches and in her community since she was a young child. She is a home school mom (although her career in this area is ending) and an RN with a BSN degree from Oral Roberts University, where she was on scholarship on her flute. She has assisted with her church youth bands the past 6 years, helping teach vocals and instruments, and has started a middle school youth praise band the last two years there.
Pinkerton has been a singer and musician her whole life and has lent her voice to evangelism, special events and weddings She has sang in holiday choirs and at Wilkesboro Baptist Church, adult praise bands for two years, played flute in church bands throughout her life, and played flute in band and television orchestra at Oral Roberts University. She has also traveled and sang as a child with her family, as her dad was an evangelist, either playing guitar, piano, and singing.
As a youth, she led worship at Highland Lake Bible camp in NY,where her dad was dean. She is currently a Senior at Piedmont Baptist College, pursing worship ministry and church education. Pinkerton's long-term plans include singing and writing music to share with anyone who wants to listen! Her heart's work is in worship ministry leadership and church education, using evangelism and outreach internationally. She also plans to use nursing education and pursue a masters in community health
