I am a Guidance Counselor at a high school working with students from grades 9-12. Love my job! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I would do it for nothing...but it's nice to get paid. :=) I never listen to music during the day when I am listening and working with my students because I give them my "undivided attention." I work a lot of evenings and weekends and enjoy the quite time in the building but enjoy listening to music as well. I like background music; i.e. smooth jazz without vocals for the most part; (depends on what I'm working on in my office.) George Benson, Kenny G, Fourplay,B B King, acoustic guitar, no LOUD horns; But also like R & B, Alicia Keys, classic rock; i.e. Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Lang, Stevie Nicks, New country, and classical music containing strings. My mood plays a huge part in it. I love all types of music. I could never live without it! :=)
