Professional percussionist since 1972, ethnic musicologist, jazz~R&B~ Latin dance~jazz, Salsa & related Caribbean/South American folkloric and contemporary music styles. Brazilian & Andean styles, Peruvian Creolla & Afro Peruvian styles. Currently performing in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. and a featured member of Cambalache Salsa Band.I am a drum & percussion instrument repair and refurbish specialist and a designer of improved and unique instruments and relative hard wares. I am of mixed decent...of Philippine and European parents but often confused as being of Hispanic decent. I am a dancer who loves to play the rhythms of the music i like to dance to. I study the origins and the cultures of the music I love. I feel the richest music on the globe is a result of the cross culture influences in the Americas and all these forms and styles are the unique art forms of " Las Americas " Popular music styles seldom give credit to the culture from which these influences derive.
