1st things first please don't hold it against me that I'm from Kansas as their national news making right wing ways are not necessarily mine. Enough politics. I'm single I guess by choice, grew up listening to classical music, my late father was an enormous fan. Arther Fiedler And The Boston Pops was a fav for him, John Williams took his place thus explaining my love of symphony-movie music. A college professor once told me that excellent music is excellent regardless of genre. For me music of lots of types has helped me thru tough times also. It's easier to list what I have yet to develope a taste for Opera,Soul,Gangsta rap,Grunge, and generally speaking- music with obviously bad lyrics-not pleasing to God or society. That said I really like 80s rock and have found lots with good meaning- Fight the good fight, taking it to the streets, Don't stop believing, Dont look back, even Nothing else matters. I can't help but like Celtic Woman as well because roughly half of what they sing is Christain also very very relaxing to me. Diana Krall is a new found oddity for me I think because she does a lot of Burt Bacharachs tunes the one everybody knows Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head. Also her style is incredible to me. Back to 80s music Bon Jovi started out as a younger croud artist only with talent. Also hard not to like Bon Jovi for charity work- roughly 4 Billion dollars of time and money from what I've read. On a final note I'm at least partly over the hills- proof of this is that I got to see Elvis Presley in 1975 with my late aunt and mom in Syracuse New York. I was pretty young still enjoyed though.I thought I might add I hope every music lover will get the chance to own a high -end system to listen to Thier favs but at at present I'm listening to the theme from Raiders Of The Lost Ark ( John Williams) using my I Phone plugged in to a 47 yes really 47 year old RCA stereo console and is sounds pretty good! Thanks for reading! Enjoy your favs also as GREAT MUSIC is tough to beat- Thanks again and Thanks Pandora!
