I love music! I grew up on Jazz, old school straight ahead Swing and Blues. My father showered me with it while in the womb. Once I came into this world I was laid in front of the stereo where the jazz LP's were piled on and played around the clock; day in day and day out for the first five years of my life. I love rhythm! So, now at the tender age of 53 I play the Jembe drum and the 'mbira (African thumb piano) and have done so for the past 19 years. I love the guinea music, but most of all creating my own music or I should I say listening to the music that comes through me. My children book entitled Jamari's Drum is taking me on a journey that will last a life time.
