Like most listeners I grew up listening to the radio. First it was the AM band in the mid 60's and then as my tastes became more selective, I switched to the FM band. From then on for about 25 years I amassed a collection of over 300 lp records that I still have to this day. I was a late explorer to digital sound because my analog system provided (to my ears) very good sound reproduction. Gradually I began to purchase c.d.'s because lp's were getting scarce. I do not buy c.d.'s at the pace that I bought lp's. My working life and everyday things over the years reduced my time to listen to music. When HD radio came around, I purchased 2 HD tuners for my home and one for my vehicle. That was ok for a while. I very much enjoyed the lack of commercials on the secondary channels, but in my area the choices for the stations that I wanted to listen to was lacking. I really miss the old WDET and was very upset when they changed formats. I wrote letters expressing my displeasure.
