I am a Greyhound rescuer. My Heroes: Ayn Rand, Robert Hielein, Horatio Alger, and Chuin Master of Sinanju. Jack of all trades, voracious reader and hardcore Libertarian. I'm a teen of the '70s so I love old school Funk as well as more etherial bands like Pink Floyd. That combined with Steely Dan led me into a love for Jazz in the '80s. I got into alternative in the '90s. My delighted discovery of Porcupine Tree in '02 led me into a genre that I think of as the thinking persons rock with a return to the Pink Floyd sound. Where am I today? All over the place depending on my mood. Sometimes I just hit the Quickmix button and throw it all together. I don't care about the musician's politics, religion, sexual orientation, etc., ad nauseum. or for the most part their lyrics. I'm all about the music, the voice is just another instrument. It is one of the many reasons I have a less than high opinion of Rap and absolutely detest Gangsta' Rap. I sometimes think Gangsta' Rap (GR) was invented by the KKK as a PR campaign to make black people look stupid. Probably 70% of my musical taste is afro-centric in some fashion. GR is the devolution of that music and an insult to black artists, as well as black people, everywhere.
