I tend to like ambient, dub, trance, new age, and world music. I like music where it feels like the artist sees themselves being a means through which the universe is expressing its beauty, rather than seeing themselves as its creator, and believing that they control it. I'm generally less able to appreciate music with lyrics. The imposition of lyrics can feel like an attempt to contain something inexplicable in human words, like trying to bend something that's pure and beautiful as it is already, and in doing so, making it less. Some of my favorite musical artists are: Brian Eno, Lisa Gerrard, Axiom of Choice, Omnimotion, Robert Rich, Adham Shaikh, and Paul van Dyk. Some of my favorite DJ's are: Armin van Buurin, Ferry Corsten, Mars, and Mysterë.
