I like music that grows in intensity and complexity, particularly if electronic, but also jazz or classic, or "fusión" española of folk/traditional with more modern styles. Supperposed layers of melodies, that my mind has to decipher (a la Radiohead or Psapp). But I like many styles, except for reggea. Most of the music's rhythm that I like gets into my body instantaneously, so I have to move it (here a shoulder, there the tip of the foot, or just the entire body). But with reggea I can listen to it, but only for one or two songs, then rather than getting into my body, it becomes annoying, like I loose my patience.
I like love songs and social content songs, and the lyrics are important, but sometimes with love songs, they become a little repetitive in their content (mostly the more commercial stuff).
I said what I do not like more than what I like, but I find harder to say what I like, because it is very wide and diverse. I do miss some less commercial Spanish music in the genome project I must say (La casa azul, Astrud, Carlos Cano for instance). But the site is great other than that, how else could I have found out that I seem to like extensing vamping quite a bit (whatever that means...) :o)
