What a musical journey. From Led Zeppelin to the Holy Modal Rounders, I've zigged and zagged through much variety. I know what I don't like: Opera. Anyway, perhaps the most common thread has been what has been called Country Rock, Alternative Country, Cosmic American Cowboy, Insurgent Country, Crossover, whatever. This genre started with Chris Hillman and Graham Parsons but I was first bitten by the Eagles Tequila Sunrise and Peaceful Easy Feeling. America's Horse with No Name and Ventura Highway also made a mark on me. Neil Young has been a constant influence.
I played guitar in several start-up bands, played events in college, and had one studio gig (‘80’s). Right out of school (‘70’s) I fantasized on being in a "garage band" so I hunted around for some guys to play with. I played with friends who had a folk group named "The Interlocutors" who later went into bluegrass, and jammed with guys who were into the Stones and The Who.
