First off, I LOVE rock! It's a drug to me. If I go one day without listening to music, I'd probably die. What type of rock is the thing that varies. From the chilling, non-sequitor progressive rock of The Mars Volta and Fair to Midland, the straight up rock of Alter Bridge and Breaking Benjamin, the angsty nu-metal like Taproot, and even some mainstream acts like Linkin Park and Shinedown. As long as it sounds good, I'll give it a try. On a side note, I hate anything related to rap, pop, or some of the crap that comes out on mainstream radio.
And now, for my version of a you say, I say
You say Hannah Montana, I say Lacuna Coil
You say Eminem, I say Linkin Park
You say Jonas Brothers, I say Chevelle
You say Godsmack, I say Taproot
You say mainstream is all their is, I say "Get your head out of your a*s"
You say my bands are better, I scream FAIR TO MIDLAND OWNS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You say my music is weird, I say it's intricate
80% of people have turned to pop, (c)rap, or mainstream radio. If you're one of the 20% that still knows what real music is and is willing to have an open mind and dig deeper, then maybe we can return sanity to the world.
