I work for the government and I travel away from home and my girl because of my job. I listen to anything that strikes something a chord inside, or that helps me think of good and bad times that I never want to forget no matter where I go, or overtime, how much I may change. I listen to everything but country. I just can't get past that twang, it's like a knife through the ear. Biggest genres I listen to is probably metal/hardcore, and hip hop. I hate that people think what they here on the radio today is hip hop. But I love that good hip hop has sifted through that mainstream strainer and fallen into the underground. Leaving whack MC's and fake a** cd spinning DJ's for the sheep. I love that bands like Terror and Hatebreed keep the hardcore strength brutally pounding your ears no matter where its heard. I love that bands like Disturbed are considered hard and edgy. When you got kids in hoodies producing s**t that makes them sound like an American Idol band that Simon hand picked himself. I listen to other things as well, but I could on forever. My thing is keep it real, listen to it because you enjoy it, not becuase its being crammed down your throats eight times a day on the radio. Peace.
