Pure F**king Death (Burnt Offering). I love death metal and most thrash (Slayer rules Metallica almost got good but blew it the posers). Godflesh rules industrial and the Dead Kennedys achieved the paradigm of punk. Recent shows: High on Fire (with Black Cobra - a real nice discovery!!!) but of course High on Fire blows away other stoner metal bands (but watch out for Shroud Eater). Matt Pike is real cool. Slayer in 2009. Slayer coming up at Camden, NJ in Aug 2010. I was late for this show and missed Megadeth (who cares) and Testament (I cared a little - I only like their first album, and the 2nd just 2 or 3 songs). Slayer was awesome as usual. Their shows just can't be beat. Upcoming shows: Amon Amarth at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, August 19th, 2011. Amon Amarth was a disappointment. I commend them for playing two full sets (their new album in its entirety + a regular set), however the sound was not good.
