This is the music that inspires me and that I listen to while I draw, paint and write..
While programming these stations, I've tried to avoid the more obvious choices. For example: although much of the music on "Music For Droogs" has industrial/gothic overtones, you'll hear more old-school experimental punk and electronica than you will Ministry, NIN or Bauhaus (unless some slips in without my knowledge).
My current stations (there's a certain amount of content bleed-over between each):
Frankenstein's Ghost: Dub in it's many forms with an emphasis on (but not limited to) classic Jamaican dub from the early '70's through the mid "80's (Scientist, Prince Jammy, King Tubby, Prince Far-I, Tappa Zukie, Keith Hudson, Gregory Isaacs, Augustus Pablo)
Filter Dub - Shoegaze, dreampop, digi-dub, glitch hop (Seefeel, Slowdive, AR Kane, My Bloody Valentine, Bark Psychosis, Deadbeat, Loscil, Mouse On Mars)
FFWD - Jungle, drum 'n bass, dubstep, breakcore, neurofunk (LTJ Bukem, Dr. Israel, Kid 606, Dilinja, Roni Size, Capone, DJ Control, Aphex)
Music For Droogs - Dirty space punk, digital hardcore, metal machine music for paranoid androids (Chrome, Pere Ubu, Suicide, Tubeway Army, Killing Joke, Cabaret Voltaire, Alec Empire, Trans Am)
Sehr Kosmisch - Cosmic ambiance with an emphasis on the industrial side of krautrock (Harmonia, Cluster, Klaus Schulze, Markus Guentner, Klimek, Tetsu Inoue)
More to come...
