I love a good live band, but these days I mostly listen to pre-recorded or radio/satellite radio stuff. I am a guitar player and a photographer - I expend most of my creative gifts in these two areas. The singer/songwriter era of the 70's was very inspirational to me, and helped me learn how to express myself through covering alot of artists, but also in writing my own stuff. My major influences early on were James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Merle Haggard, Hank Jr., ZZ Top, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. One of my favorite modern artists is Norah Jones. I still listen to each of these on occasion, but also enjoy alot of more driving rock sounds such as DMB, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, and even some of the harder stuff as long as it has a good beat and some talent behind the instruments. My favorite combination of instruments: acoustic guitar and cello. I would love to make friends locally with a good cello player.
