Born in a small town in this lovely galaxy, raised on country music by my mother, classical by my grandfather and rock and roll by my two older cousins: All living in the same house. I discovered jazz on my own as a teen and my world expanded ten-fold. I thought my imagination would explode. I listen to a fairly eclectic range of music, even Gregorian chants now and then but I don't care for "gansta" rap, dixieland jazz, or Yanni. There is Rap that I like. Other than that I listen to everything from Billy Vaughn to Cowboy Copas to Haydn to Van Morrison to Pet Shop Boys to Pete Fountain to Oscar Brown (great stuff that Oscar Brown. Look for "Sin and Soul" by Oscar. A great experience rarely equalled in music of any genre. A very brave album considering the era it was produced: 1960.)
To wrap up, I am an active environmentalist, birder, reader, gardener, obvious music lover, and am involved in bringing about sorely needed political change.
