Richard Orange is a "second wave",recordingartist/singer/songwriter/photographer/producer. He began his career influenced by the bands and artist associated with the first British Invasion.
His first outing was when he was only 16 years of age with his own band, "Thomas Edisun's Electric Light Bulb Band." (more to come) Ironically, this album from 1967 was never released until only just lat year (2014) on Guerssen Records on 100gm German Vinyl and in the U.S. on
Gear Fab Records and CD's.
In his very early 20's Orange would sign his with his band "ZUIDER ZEE" to Columbia/CBS Records.
Confusion at CBS led to no single ever being released on the group but the album garnered great critical acclaim and even to this day is considered a power-pop classic.
Richard Orange carried on from his home in England where he began writing for other artist, Jane Wiedlin( The Go Go's) and publishers where he eventually garnered an International hit record for Cyndi Lauper. The song was also featured in the Columbia Pictures
