I'm a sometime poet with eclectic yet excellent taste in music, an avid music fan during the 1970s (then came to mostly disparage most sounds of the 80s), returned to music when it got "back 2 good" (a Matchbox 20 allusion) in the 90s. Have since become a major fan of Patty Griffin and Jason Mraz, have seen both perform live (Patty twice, Jason only once), Nickel Creek (saw them live once and also when they performed with Toad's Glen Philips as Mutual Admiration Society, a well-kept secretly worthwhile album).... (A near-complete list of acts I've seen live follows, in attempted but imperfect chronological order:)
Firefall
Granmax
Styx
Rod Stewart
Elton John
Queen
The Eagles
Don McLean
Frankie Goes to Hollywood
On A Llama
Geoff Achison
Jonny Lang
Patty Griffin
Jason Mraz
Joan Osborne
Scissor Sisters
Etta James
Smokey Robinson
Damien Rice
Mindy Smith
Nickel Creek
Mutual Admiration Society
John Fogerty
Ricki Lee Jones (surprise guest who surprised the rude audience by walking off the stage with a few purple words after no more than three songs; I was pissed because this wasn't too long after her excellent album "The Evening of My Best Day" with the inspired "Tell Somebody" and more blatantly anti-Bush anthem, "Ugly Man")
Glen Philips
Amelia
Five For Fighting
Tears for Fears
Phoebe Snow
