My soul is full of dance. I love bluegrass, good old time music; got that from my dad. I love the old "wandering gypsy caravan" music, so basic and full. (my mother's side) I've been blessed with many friends who play music and vocalize. I can't sing a lick, though I wish for that talent daily. I'd love to be able to belt one out from the middle of my soul! Instead I danced. Learned the schottish and clogging before I was ten from my dad, who also liked to polka...BOY did he like to kick his legs up! He also taught all four of his daughters the subtle hand movements that a true dancer uses to let us know when he was going to twirl us, or to tell us to put some space between us or to draw closer. It came so naturally to me that I carried it further by learning to cha-cha, waltz, swing, square dance, and all the ballroom dances, as well as shakin' it to Led Zepelin and all the 70;s Era Music. I found Bluegrass, and then the spirituals that formed it, in my 30's.GOD knows I felt a familiarity with the music, and I REALLY wanted to sing and play it, but I couldn't, so I learned to play spoons so I could join in somehow. Been listenin' ever since. To all kinds of music; I have very eclectic tastes.
